Promoting 811 In Your Community

Awareness of the critical 811 service continues to grow, and you or your organization can help!  You can protect yourself, your community or your business by letting your neighbors or customers know about how important it is to call 811 before digging.

Homeowners

  • Bring the 811 Process for Homeowners handouts to your next Homeowners Association Meeting (HOA) to make sure your neightbors know to call 811 before digging.

  • Pass along the 811 logo to your HOA for use in its newsletter during times of year when digging activity is high, like spring and summer.

  • If your community or local schools plan digging activities, such as tree or flower plantings, contact your local 811 one call center to ask about materials for local events.

  • Spread the word about how easy it is to make the call to 811 to keep your community safe and connected to critical utility services!

Business Owners

  • Speak to your customers about the 811 process and make sure they know to call even for digging projects they complete on their own.
